On October 25, the SENTINEL European Networking Event took place in Barcelona, within the exhibition INTERIHOTEL BARCELONA 2018.

The event was hosted by CENFIM, and all the project partners were present – Catalan Water Partnership, OOE Energiesparverband and Fondazione Torino Wireless – plus we have the great pleasure of hosting two potential SENTINEL partner clusters: CAP Construction, from Wallonia (Belgium) focused on sustainable construction, and Cluster Lumière, from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (France).

The Cluster Manager of CENFIM, Mr. Joaquim Solana, opened the event, and Mr. Joan Martí, Cluster dynamization manager ACCIO, made an introduction to the Catalan clusters ecosystem. Then Mr. Toni Zaragoza, Project Manager CENFIM made a project overview, a work packages description, and concluded with outputs and expected results. All Cluster participants presented their organizations and many case studies of innovative hospitality solutionsmade by their members SMEs. Then a networking session at the Meeting Point Design closed the morning.

In the afternoon took place the conference. “Outsmarting the trends: Creating timeless hotel interiors” presented by Lori Pinkerton-Rolet, director at Park Grove Design at Knowledge area INTERIHOTEL. After the conference, the Sentinel delegation visited several booths of CENFIM members, discovering interesting case studies on connectivity, domotics/building automation, lighting (SIMON), shower enclosures (DUSCHOLUX), flooring and wallcovering solutions (Floover), furniture and upholstery (Beltá & Frajumar).
